This is a general cyber safety session. The workshop provides an overview of the key cyber safety topics and protective factors. The 3 Cs – Contact, Conduct and Content – ensure consistent approaches to keeping safe online.

Teachers will be given resources to use in class to cement the learnings.

Audience:  Grade 3 & 4 and Grade 5 & 6
Duration: 60 minutes
Recommended workshop size: Maximum of two classes

Outcomes:

• Students will understand that the internet is a great place where we can do wonderful things, but like everywhere in life, following some rules can help us keep safe.
• Students will recognise the importance of being kind online and thinking before they post.
• Students will develop critical reasoning skills around what is safe to share and with whom.
