The Australian Trail Horse Riders Association (ATHRA), in a collective effort, supported Do It For Dolly Day for the first time this year by holding a National Trail Ride Day. Claire, the event organiser, says, “We asked our clubs to hold a Trail Ride on Saturday, 11 May, or a weekend camp or regional event throughout the month of May to support Do It For Dolly Day.
We were thrilled that 27 ATHRA clubs, each playing a significant role, jumped on board, joined the ATHRA team, and started organising their own club fundraising activities. Our ATHRA clubs held some amazing fundraising events and activities, and our club members went all out by dressing up in blue, decorating and painting their horses with blue accessories and butterflies to help end bullying. So far, the ATHRA team has raised over $48,000! We are overwhelmed by this amazing result, which wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and dedication of our ATHRA clubs and members.”
