Do it for Dolly Day 2024

I'm fundraising for...

I am taking part in Do It For Dolly Day! It is a day dedicated to bringing the community together, spreading kindness and uniting in taking a stand against bullying.

There is too much bullying, normalising and acceptance - & not enough education, prevention, & action

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and helping to create a kinder and safer world for Australia's kids and communities with Dolly's Dream!

Your donation will help raise much-needed funds for Dolly's Dream and support their anti-bullying initiatives and programs that are helping to empower and educate our community about the power of kindness and bullying prevention.

You can sponsor me and leave a message by clicking the donate button above.

Together we can make Dolly's dream a reality.

Bullying - 5yrs old

Sunday 14th Apr
Our family has a personal link to serious bullying and the consequences that come from it. My daughter - whilst aged just 5 years old - in prep at school - was bullied due to her beautiful chocolate brown skin - and because parents had not taught their children how to be accepting of others & their differences! My daughter was bullied verbally first, then physically/ resulting in a swollen little face, with bruised eyes, a swollen face, and damaged eye socket & nose. The bruising & swelling were so bad that 3 weeks later, her much needed next heart surgery was almost cancelled due to the damage & only by the Grace of God, a long detailed discussion amongst specialists & the urgent need, was her surgery able to proceed with caution. The responsible party & their family were never held accountable despite formal complaints.

Sadly, this was not the only bullying journeys/horrors that our family has been through!

Ours is just one of so many awful bullying realities, just like Dolly - why is it so normalised & accepted? It should never be either!

We ask you to please:
- join our team
- spread the word on your social pages
- help us support such a vital & seriously needed organisation & mission
- donate whatever you can to support
- share our page with as many as you can
- or do all of the above

Thankyou everyone
