Care-Factor raised a whopping $50,000 for Dolly's Dream!
The Care-Factor Industry Gala, held on Friday, July 26th, was a tremendous success. This year, the Care Factor committee chose to support Dolly's Dream and the Childhood Dementia Initiative—two very deserving charities that focus on helping children. We are thrilled to announce that the event raised an incredible $100,000!
"Each year, our Care Factor committee selects at least one charity that supports children in some capacity. With the alarming rise in youth suicide, self-harming, and bullying, we wanted to support a cause dedicated to raising awareness and driving change to reverse these troubling trends. After learning more about Dolly's Dream and its impactful work, we unanimously agreed to support the organisation as one of our chosen charities for 2024.
We hosted our 4th Industry Trade Gala, marking our second year with a Christmas in July theme, and welcomed nearly 350 attendees. The evening featured sponsorships from industry figures, live and silent auctions, raffles, and a Christmas Tree "lucky dip." Additionally, several companies and individuals pledged extra funds on the night and in the following days.

However, our members are deeply passionate about the work Dolly's Dream does and will continue to follow and support their journey wherever possible", says Carli, the event organiser.

Northern Territory Spirit: Raine & Horne’s Ongoing Support for Dolly’s Dream
The Raine & Horne Darwin team shares, "We chose to support Dolly's Dream because we are a proud Northern Territory company, and this cause is close to home.
In 2022, we initially took our staff on a conference to Katherine, where we met the Everett family and heard their story firsthand. Following this experience, we decided to continue our fundraising efforts for Dolly's Dream in the years to come.
We pride ourselves on a positive work environment and staff culture at Raine & Horne, and Dolly's Dream's mission aligns with our core values.
In 2024, our fundraising activities included an Easter hamper raffle, a colouring competition, and a Guess the Eggs jar. We also hosted a sausage sizzle and cake stall fundraiser, lucky number raffles, and collected recyclable items for cashing in. A major highlight was our big silent auction during our annual awards gala. We are thrilled to have already surpassed our initial target, and we're excited about the possibilities ahead. Our plans for the rest of 2024 include a potential Father's Day raffle and continuing our recycling and casual dress Friday initiatives.
Looking forward to 2025, we aim to take our support for Dolly's Dream to new heights—stay tuned!
