Reporting Online Bullying

Have you been bullied online or had images shared without consent?

If someone is being mean to you online or has shared pictures of you without asking, that’s not okay, and it can feel really upsetting.

It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong, and you don’t deserve to be treated this way. You’re not alone.

Talk to a grown-up you trust, like a parent, teacher, or carer. You can also visit the eSafety website, which helps kids and teens deal with online bullying and can even help get hurtful messages or pictures taken down.

Report Online Harm

Advice For Parents & Carers

Online bullying and image-based abuse can be deeply distressing for children and teens, and often hard for them to talk about.

If your child is being bullied online or has had images shared without their consent, support is available. Remind them that it’s not their fault. They didn’t cause this, and they deserve to feel safe and supported.

Encourage them to speak to you or another trusted adult, and reassure them that they’re not alone.

The eSafety Commissioner provides expert help to remove harmful content and offers guidance for families navigating online abuse. It’s a valuable resource to help protect your child and support their wellbeing.
